The GFOI R&D Component hosted hosted a knowledge exchange on recent Earth Observation (EO) research advancements and their contributions to national MRV processes in tropical forest countries. Participants heard from a diverse group of panellists – including GFOI R&D Focal Points – who shared insights on EO developments addressing key GFOI R&D priorities. The main objective of this session was to foster knowledge exchange and joint learning among countries on the technical aspects of forest MRV.
